Digital Proof of Age to Purchase Alcohol is now here
On 15th September 2026 the law changed, to allow licensed businesses in England and Wales, to accept digital proof of age when selling alcohol. This is a significant change in licensing law to enable our Vending machines, to dispense Beer, Lager and Cider.
A customer enters the Pub, approaches one of our machines, selects the beverage they wish to purchase. They would have already installed and verified their age, via a government recognised, proof of age app such as YOTI. They scan their mobile to the payment pad on our machines, and the checks are automatically and instantly undertaken.
Then the machine starts pouring your chosen selection. Simple.
These machines of ours save the business owner considerable money in employing large numbers of bar staff. Especially important with ever increasing employer costs, such as National Insurance contributions.
